UK jobs boosted by Peterborough garden retail store

More than 100 new jobs could be created in Peterborough if a new garden centre is given the go-ahead.The Evening Telegraph reported that plans for the £8 million Dobbies Garden Centre, in Cygnet Park, Hampton, have now been submitted.
If Peterborough City Council approves the submission, then both full and part-time positions are set to be created.
"Our Serpentine Garden World will bring over 120 jobs to Peterborough and will encourage an environmentally-friendly approach to 21st century living where all the family can enjoy planting and growing," said Stuart Wright, director of property at Dobbies.
He went on to say that Dobbies wants to boost the local economy in a sustainable way, while formal in-house training will give 50 per cent of staff specific horticultural knowledge.
Peterborough is currently seeing an influx of new jobs, with logistics firm DHL confirming last week that it was creating 100 new positions through an expansion of a distribution centre in Kingston Park.
